An LA based VFX heavy show is looking for an experienced VFX Assistant Editor
Responsibilities:
Prepping plate pulls and count sheets
Uploading and sending materials through Shotgun
Preparing and organizing projects, and pulling selects
Temping shots
Managing drop ins for onlining
Transcoding/AMA
Cutting together reference reels upon request
Tracking cuts, assigning shot codes, and working with coordinator to organize in Shotgun
QC’ing and delivering cuts to EPs and Directors
Basic overcutting
Working with episodic editorial teams
Requirements:
Understanding of VFX pipeline with ability to track and break down required shot work
Proficiency with Avid Media Composer
Proficiency with After Effects
Thorough understanding of post process, codecs, file formats, and camera formats
Fluent with Mac and Windows operating systems
Experience with Aspera/Media Shuttle/FTP sites
Working knowledge of Shotgun
Ability to take direction, organize, interact with vendors, and respond quickly to supervisor requests
Must be a member of the Editors Guild
Must be able to work on site in LA
